Getting to Zmudowski State Beach
Getting to Zmudowski State Beach
Getting to Zmudowski State Beach is as easy as pie. All you have to do is take CA 1, south of mile 98.0. There are signs pointing to Zmudowski State Beach EVERYWHERE, so the only way you can possibly miss it is if you were sleepy while you are driving up to it, or if you were a little drunk and out of it (in which case we would like to ask why you were bothering driving in the first place. We recommend that you get a good night's rest and have lots of coffee when you drive for Zmudowski State Beach.
If you can't find the signs (they may have been blown away or accidentally torn down or something), the best way may be for you to turn onto Struve Road. Follow it for about...zero point two miles or until you reach the Struve Road-Giberson Road intersection. Turn left INTO Giberson Road, then follow it. We warn you to be careful driving here, as it is a zig-zag and as such, it could be very dangerous if you drive too fast or if you don't pay attention. At the end of this road, you will find...wait for it...FREE PARKING. From there, you will have to hike up to the beach via the dirt access road. But we promise you, it's worth it.
